Movie night could be a lot cheaper this weekend 👀 A current Fandango offer can take up to $15 off a ticket to The Weight with promo code GOLD, potentially making the movie ticket free or nearly free depending on the ticket price and checkout fees.
The Weight is scheduled to open in theaters on September 18, 2026, and this offer is being shared for eligible showtimes from September 17 through September 20. That gives movie fans a limited window to check their local theater and see if the $15 discount can cover the ticket.
How to get the deal:
- Visit the Fandango page for The Weight.
- Choose a participating theater and showtime between September 17 and September 20.
- Add the ticket to your cart.
- Enter promo code GOLD at checkout.
- Check the final total before completing your purchase.
The important thing to remember is that this is a discount of up to $15, so your final cost can vary. If the eligible ticket and applicable charges total $15 or less, the promotion may cover the full amount. If your total is higher, you should expect to pay the difference.
There can also be differences depending on the theater, showtime, ticket type, and applicable fees. Some shoppers have reported seeing a small remaining balance after applying the promotion, so it is worth checking the complete checkout total before placing the order.
About The Weight: The movie stars Ethan Hawke and Russell Crowe and is set during the Great Depression. The story follows a battle-scarred veteran who is pulled into a dangerous journey involving gold, prisoners, and a difficult trek through the wilderness. Fandango currently lists the movie as opening September 18.
If you were already thinking about seeing The Weight, this could be a good opportunity to check your local showtimes and potentially save the full price of a movie ticket. Since the promotion has a limited September 17 through September 20 window, I would check availability sooner rather than later.
