If you currently have or previously had a Capital One 360 Savings account, you may be eligible for a cash payment from a major $425 million class action settlement — and most people do not need to file a claim to receive it.
This settlement comes from a lawsuit alleging that Capital One failed to raise interest rates on its 360 Savings accounts while offering higher rates through a different account called 360 Performance Savings, without clearly informing existing customers. The case covers a long period, so even former account holders may qualify.
Who is eligible?
You are included in this settlement if you were a Capital One 360 Savings account holder at any time between September 18, 2019 and June 16, 2025. This applies whether your account is still open or was closed during that time.
Do I need to file a claim?
No claim form is required. All eligible class members are automatically included. However, you are strongly encouraged to select how you want to receive your payment.
If your payment is $5 or more and you do nothing, a check will be mailed to your last known address. If your payment is under $5, you must choose an electronic payment option to receive it.
Why you should choose electronic payment
- Ensures you receive your payment even if your address has changed
- Faster delivery than mailed checks
- Required for payments under $5
The deadline to choose your payment method or update your address is March 30, 2026.
Important safety note
The Settlement Administrator will never ask for your Social Security number or full bank account details. The official site may optionally ask for the last four digits of your 360 Savings account for verification, but this is not required.
Your legal options
You also have the right to opt out, object, or comment on the settlement. If you opt out, you will not receive any payment but may pursue your own legal action at your own expense.
The Court will hold a Final Approval Hearing on April 20, 2026. Payments will only be issued after final approval.
